At church this past weekend our message was about an Attitude Revolution. Our Pastor talked about 9 things we can do to love more. After each aspect the pastor had us repeat the text about what we choose. I ask that if you take the time to read this, see the wisdom, and choose to love.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance (or patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from GOD. Everyone who loves has been born of GOD and knows GOD. Whoever does not love, does not know GOD, because GOD is love. This is how GOD showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:7-9

I choose love.
Today I will love GOD. I will love what GOD loves, and I will love all of those whom GOD loves.

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” James 1:2-3

I choose joy.
No matter what circumstances come into my life today, I retain the right to choose my attitude, and I choose joy.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

I choose peace.
I will let Jesus’ promise of peace flood my soul. Though turmoil surrounds me, I will rest in the hands of GOD.

“Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.” James 5:10

I choose Patience.
I will overlook inconveniences. Rather than complaining when I must wait, I will thank GOD for a moment to pray.

“But when the kindness and love of GOD our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.” Titus 3:4-5

I choose kindness.
I will be kind even to the unkind, for that is how GOD has been to me.

“I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.” Romans 15:14

I choose goodness.
I will go without a dollar before I will take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I accuse.

Something to think on: Who are you when no one is looking?

“I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.” Psalm 89:33

I choose faithfulness.
Today I will keep my promises. No one will need to regret trusting me. My family and friends will have no reason to question my love. My children need never fear that I will I will abandon them.

“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sing, you who live by the spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you may also be tempted.” Galations 6:1

I Choose gentleness.
If I raise my voice, may it only be in praise. If I clench my fist, may it only be in prayer. If I make a demand, may it only be of myself.

“Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” Proverbs 25:28

I Choose Self-Control.
I will be drunk only with joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be led only by GOD.

Thank you for reading if you made it all the way through. It was a great service at Bear Valley Community Church in Hurst.
